Well, this blog is really an experiment. My name is Richard Stamp and I lecture in cultural studies at Bath Spa University College, Bath (!), England. I'm using this site to help me design and run a module i'm going to teach called Popular Cinema and Cultural Studies. (Hence title of this blog...) There's just so much stuff out there on film - so i thought of giving me and my students (and anyone else who's interested) a way of getting to a lot of relevant (& irrelevant, of course - v important) listings, articles, news, fan sites, etc. Blogging is all-new to me, so it'll be slow - and i've other fun things to do... - but i hope eventually to incorprate a service for searches, etc. We'll see... |
